Welcome Back to the Rutgers University Study Using the Teacher Belief Q-Sort!
I, Megan Schramm-Possinger, (a doctoral student at Rutgers University) wish to learn more about your beliefs regarding pedagogical practices, students and classroom management now that you have finished your student teaching internship.
To that end, if you are a special education student teacher taking the fall seminar course I would like you to complete the TBQ card sort on or before December 20th (your professor will apply five points extra credit to your grade if you participate). If you are a regular classroom student-teacher taking either the Introduction to Special Education or Inclusive Education class in January ’11, then please complete the TBQ by February 15th (again, in order to receive five points of extra credit). As you may recall, the card sort should take you about 30-60 minutes to complete and must be finished in one sitting. If you have any questions or difficulties, please call or email: Megan Schramm-Possinger at
609-915-6376 or at [email protected]
I will contact you this spring to invite you to a workshop, where you can learn your results from having taken the TBQ on one or both occasions.
During this time, I will also share tips on how to effectively interview for teaching positions, in part, by describing the values and priorities that uniquely equip you to assume such roles.
