Michelle Ko is our Data Manager. She is responsible for developing, organizing and maintaining our abundant data assets. Originally from the great city of Hong Kong, she is a recent graduate of the University of Virginia. Her background is in Mathematics and Statistics. In her spare time, she enjoys water sports, reading, traveling and discussing the meaning of imaginary numbers.

Julie Broderick Thomas is the Managing Director of the Social Development Lab. Julie ensures that our people, projects and technology are performing optimally to support our cutting-edge research efforts. Julie joined our lab after working as a Manager for Ernst & Young LLP’s IT advisory group in Mclean, VA. Through her work at Ernst & Young, Julie was able to observe and assess business processes at many FORTUNE 500 companies. In joining the lab, Julie was able to translate those observations into systematic procedures that have allowed our lab to operate more efficiently and effectively. She enjoys solving problems, renovating her home with her husband, Matt, enjoying good architecture and design, traveling and running.
